IPL fans know Kavya Maran very well even if they haven't followed the league since the beginning. She is always busy with her charming persona, whether at the auction tables with a paddle in hand or even at the stands supporting Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Although Sunrisers Hyderabad have seen a major decline in the IPL lately, particularly after David Warner’s exit, their franchise in SA20 2024 have been performing admirably. Aiden Markram, the leader of the ship at the Sunrisers Eastern Cape, led them to win the title in the inaugural edition last year, and on Saturday (February 10), they made two in two by defeating Durban’s Super Giants by 89 runs in the final.

No wonder Kavya Maran – the CEO of SRH – couldn’t stop smiling after the Eastern Cape’s back-to-back title wins. In an interview with the host broadcaster in Cape Town, Kavya was overjoyed with her team’s superb all-round performance and congratulated them from the bottom of her heart.

Kavya will next be seen at the stands of Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium mostly from next month onwards, which is nothing but the home venue of the ‘Orange Army’ in the IPL.
