Masaba Gupta, daughter of former West Indies cricketer Viv Richards and Indian actress Neena Gupta, was spotted enjoying the WPL 2024 match between Delhi Capitals and the RCB Women at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on March 10.

Taking to her Instagram account, Masaba shared pictures of herself embracing the WPL proceedings alongside Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor and Olympic boxer Mary Kom.

Much to the delight of the crowd, the match itself turned out to be a final-ball thriller, where the Capitals held their nerves to secure a one-run win for themselves.

Winning the toss and batting first, the Capitals listed a staggering 181-run total off their 20 overs. Captain Meg Lanning and her opening partner Shafali Verma provided blistering start at the top before Jemimah Rodrigues bludgeoned a 36-ball 58 in the middle overs.

Among the RCB bowlers, young spinner Shreyanka Patil claimed four wickets in the high-scoring innings, at an economy of just above six.

Despite featuring a valiant run-chase masterclass from Richa Ghosh (51 off 29 balls), the RCB Women fell a run short of their target to hand the Capitals their fifth win of the season. The outcome also enabled Meg Lanning and co. to dethrone defending champions Mumbai Indians from the top of the WPL 2024 points table.
