Suryakumar Yadav and his 360-degree hitting has caught the imagination of cricket fans around the world in the last few years and naturally, many youngsters have been inspired from his batting. One of those youngsters is Dewald Brevis who has been with Suryakumar Yadav in Mumbai Indians camp since 2022.

The baby AB, as Brevis is fondly known is known for his fluent strokeplay and first caught the attention of the cricketing world in the U19 World Cup 2022. Since then, he has not been able to set the stage on fire as was expected at that time, and it seems that he the youngman is trying his hard to live upto his billing. 

In a video posted by the official X handle of Mumbai Indians, SKY is seen lecturing Brevis on how to play scoops and reverse-scoops and his desi version of those shots - the supla shot.

Brevis is seen obediently listening to those tips and then goes onto play scoops, reverse-scoops, paddle scoops with great precision. Brevis has played two matches in IPL 2024 so far, and has scored 46 runs - all of those coming in the game against GT while in his second match, he departed for a golden duck against RR.
