Match 18 of the ongoing Caribbean Premier League 2023, witnessed one of the best T20 knocks while chasing by West Indies all-rounder Rahkeem Cornwall. Playing for Barbados Royals, Cornwall displayed his brutal best against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots while chasing a mammoth 221-run target at Kensington Oval.

The all-rounder, who had been having a string of poor outings this season, produced an enthralling masterclass, which included Cornwall registering a maiden CPL ton in the process.

The batter scored 100 off merely 45 balls, which included four fours and 12 monstrous sixes. The 30-year-old eventually retired hurt after bringing his side to the brink of victory, adding stands with Laurie Evans and skipper Rovman Powell.

However, the real highlight came after Cornwall reached his century, and brought out the famous 'mic-drop' celebration.

Powell ensured Cornwall's good work did not go to waste and helped his side cross the finish line, scoring an unbeaten 49 off 26, as the Patriots won by eight wickets.

With a blistering 102, Cornwall has climbed to third in the list of most runs this season with 175 and is behind Sherfane Rutherford (176) and Brandon King (186). In CPL 2022, the batter finished with 242 runs from nine matches.

The Powell-led side has now moved to fourth position in the CPL 2023 points table, and will play Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) next on September 7 in Port of Spain.
