With the T20 World Cup 2024 on the horizon, cricket fans around the world are gearing up for what promises to be an exhilarating tournament. As anticipation builds, Star Sports, the official broadcaster of the event, has unveiled a captivating promo that is sure to send shivers down the spines of Indian cricket enthusiasts everywhere.

As the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 enters its second half, anticipation around the next mega ICC event has started to build amongst the sports enthusiasts. 

Right after the conclusion of the IPL 2024 season, T20 World Cup madness will begin in the United States of America and West Indies, the official joint hosts for the tournament.

That being said, the Indian cricket team is yet to be picked for the crucial event. While Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli’s participation has been confirmed by the board, the rest of the squad is yet to be put together.

However, to keep the excitement and hype intact, the tournament’s official broadcasting partner in India, Star Sports, unveiled its first promo featuring the Indian cricket team. 

The video showcased the men in blue’s preparedness for the tournament and also shot a subtle warning to the rivals. 

The video features Indian skipper Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja - who are centainly confirmed to be part of India's squad for the showpiece event.

The T20 World Cup 2024 will go on floors from 2nd June onwards. India are placed in Group A alongside Canada, Pakistan, the USA, and Ireland. 

Notably, India’s league games are scheduled only in the USA, with the much-anticipated clash against arch-nemesis Pakistan scheduled in New York.

By the end of the month of April, BCCI is expected to announce the finalised squad for the event. While the majority of seasoned veterans will likely retain their places, a few fresh faces straight from the IPL could also make the cut.
