The charm and aura of Virat Kohli, who has accomplished nearly everything in his illustrious career, is unparalleled. And everything, apart from his batting brilliance, he has achieved due to his humble, kind, and heartwarming gestures on and off the field.

Such an incident happened on Thursday evening when Mumbai Indians faced Royal Challengers Bangalore in Match 25 of IPL 2024 at Wankhede Stadium. During the clash, Hardik Pandya, the MI skipper, was being booed by the home crowd.

It has become apparent that Hardik, who took over MI’s captaincy from Rohit Sharma, has been massively criticized ever since the five-time champions’ think tank decided to give him the captain’s hat. Whether it was home or away, whenever Hardik took the field, received boos from the fans.

And Kohli did not like what he heard. He told MI fans to stop booing him with a touching gesture, and highlighted Hardik only represents India, not any other country.

And the Wankhede crowd acknowledged the King’s request, or you can say it command as well. They burst into the chant of ‘Hardik Hardik!’, which turned the atmosphere into ecstatic after the MI skipper smashed the winning runs by a spectacular six.

Not to forget, Kohli made a similar gesture to the crowd for Naveen-ul-Haq, with whom he had a heated exchange during IPL 2023.
