Beyond his zeal and match-winning abilities as a highly talented cricketer for India and Delhi Capitals (DC), wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant also happens to be an enduring character of the game, who is always willing for a chat with the opposition players and indulges in fun and games behind the stumps.

Pant is renowned for his puns and jeering tactics against the opponent batters in the middle of the innings. The entertaining chatter he does with the batter can get under the players' skins and induce an error, with the cricketer's verbal volleys often proving a real handful for Team India.

Given his reputation, Pant was invited for a light-hearted conversation on the famous 'Club Prairie Fire' podcast, where legendary Australian wicketkeeper-batter Adam Gilchrist and former England skipper Michael Vaughan asked him a unique question.

Pant's Funny Response To Gilchrist, Vaughan Duo

The swashbuckling left-hand batter and improved glover was asked what would he be saying if he were to sledge the two former cricketers.

To this, Pant came up with a hilarious response, stating he would tell Vaughan to not be on social media all the time and let the aggressive Gilchrist be, hoping he makes an error at some point.

"I would say you are focusing too much on social media," said Pant when Gilchrist asked what would he tell Vaughan to put him off his game, with the response triggering a huge laughter among the three.

When the same question was put to him for Gilchrist, Pant said "I think he is anyways off when he was playing. He is in his own zone. You can't disturb these kind of people (attacking players)".

Pant is set to make a comeback to the playing colours via the IPL 2024 for the Delhi Capitals (DC) after being approved fit to play following a prolonged absence due to a life-threatening car accident in December 2022. The 26-year-old will be leading the Capitals in their opening game of the tournament on March 23 against the Punjab Kings (PBKS).
