Chasing a target of 205, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have called in the left-handed batter Venkatesh Iyer as an impact player in place of leg-spinner Suyash Sharma. Suyash bowled four overs for 35 runs with one wicket of Abhinav Manohar.

Meanwhile, Venkatesh has been batting well with 22 runs already after his name after facing 14 deliveries as he was sent one down after the loss of the second wicket of Narayan Jagadeesan.

In the first innings, veteran spinner Sunil Narine bagged three wickets in four overs to help his side with some breakthroughs in the middle.

Suyash made his debut in the previous game as he decimated the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) with three scalps after his name.

As of writing, KKR are 56 for 2 after the end of seven overs with Iyer and Rana at the crease.
