In a media release, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) announced the schedule of the ODI series that will see Afghanistan collide with Lankan Lions after the conclusion of the ongoing T20 World Cup.

The series consisting of three ODIs has the matches scheduled on November 25, November 27 and November 30 with the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium chosen as the venue.

Notably, the fixtures will form a part of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League 2020-23. Currently, Afghanistan occupy the seventh position in the league standings, winning 10 of their 12 matches, while Sri Lanka lie at the 10th spot with six wins in 18 games.

The tour was earlier slated for February 2023, however, changes had to be made, considering the calendars of the two teams.
