Ravindra Jadeja, the veteran Indian all-rounder, is all set to feature in a Ranji clash ahead of the Test series against South Africa. The cricketer has been included in the Saurashtra's squad for the match against Madhya Pradesh, which is set to start on October 25 in Rajkot.

The all-rounder missed out on the selection in the ODI squad for the Australia tour but has been in great form in Test cricket. He scored runs in England and also notched up a hundred in the recently held Test series against the West Indies. Thus, he is still going strong at the age of 36 and wants to keep himself match-fit with a Ranji game ahead of two important Test matches against South Africa.

Saurashtra likely to benefit from Ravindra Jadeja's experience

The development has been confirmed by a report from Cricbuzz, and Ravindra Jadeja would be hoping to contribute in the best possible way for Saurashtra. The cricketer has been prolific with both bat and ball whenever he has played for Saurashtra, and his experience is likely to help his team against a strong team like Madhya Pradesh.

Also, Ravindra Jadeja playing domestic cricket aligns with the new policy of BCCI, where they want international cricketers to play for their state whenever they get an opportunity.

"He is expected to play in the next match," a Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) official told Cricbuzz.

In the first match of this Ranji season, Saurashtra managed to bag a first-innings lead against Karnataka. Madhya Pradesh also dominated their game and got a big first innings lead courtesy a double century from Rajat Patidar, which makes the contest an interesting one.
