After being alleged in a recent ESPNcricinfo story that players are being denied No Objection Certificate for the upcoming edition of the Big Bash League (BBL), the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has publicly come out and branded all the reports as 'baseless' and 'factually incorrect'.

With a lot happening in the world of cricket due to new T20 leagues from UAE & South Africa coming up, players are in heavy demand all over the globe. Especially the players from Pakistan, who might be available during January and February subject to NOCs.

PCB reports errors in the claimed information

The PCB has issued a statement in which they have dismissed all information coming in from the news source. They said that none of the players were denied the certificate, instead the discussions were happening, and the players would be provided with an update in due course of time after considering all the factors.

The PCB also mentioned that they allow three additional NOCs every year in addition to playing in the PSL, whereas the report from ESPNcricinfo claimed they would only allow one.

Regarding the ILT20 in UAE and the South African league, they said that the ILT20 NOCs are still up for discussion, and they are yet to receive any request from CSA.
