In a monumental tribute to the legacy of IPL cricket, MS Dhoni has been crowned the leader of the all-time greatest IPL team, affirming his status as a titan in the Indian Premier League. The team, meticulously curated to honour the league's success since its inception in 2008, boasts a star-studded line up comprising some of the game's most iconic players.

The selection panel consisted of cricket legends such as Wasim Akram, Matthew Hayden, Tom Moody, and Dale Steyn. About 70 journalists were also part of the selection process.

The marquee tournament will complete 16 years of the first-ever IPL auction on February 20, 2024.

Dhoni has captained CSK to five titles in IPL and five runners-up finishes, making the Indian great the only captain to reach the IPL finals ten times.

The formidable batting order sees the explosive pair of David Warner and Virat Kohli at the start, supported by the Universe Boss, Chris Gayle at number three. Suresh Raina, AB de Villiers, Surya Kumar Yadav, and the legend himself, Dhoni, form an impregnable middle-order.

The addition of Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, and Kieron Pollard further fortifies the team's all-round dominance. Meanwhile, the bowling attack boasts the spin wizardry of Rashid Khan, Sunil Narine, and Yuzvendra Chahal, alongside the lethal pace combination of Lasith Malinga and Jasprit Bumrah.

With Dhoni's record-breaking five IPL titles and ten appearances in finals, his credentials speak volumes about his extraordinary captaincy.

MS Dhoni, with a remarkable captaincy record in the IPL, led his team in 226 matches, clinching victory in 133 encounters while enduring 91 losses. With a winning percentage of 59.38%, Dhoni's leadership ability stands as a cornerstone of his legacy in the IPL.
