Blasters posts a competitive total on the board

Invited to bat first, openers LR Chethan and Mayank Agarwal steered Blasters at a brisk rate in the powerplay overs. The duo added 61 runs for the first wicket, which laid a stable platform for the middle-order.

In the end, Suchith provided a late flourish with a scintillating knock of 40 off 18 balls, with six boundaries and a six. The pick of the bowlers for the Warriors was Shreyas Gopal with three wickets.

Clinical performance from bowlers help Blasters to maintain pole position

It was a bad start for the Warriors, wherein they lost their in-form batters Nihal Ullal and Karun Nair in a stiff chase. Then, Pavan Deshpande tried well, but could not take the game deep.

Gopal was the lone contributor with 50 off 42 balls, as Warriors finished on 134/9 in their designated quota of 20 overs.

With three scalps to his name, Rishi Bopanna again became the leading wicket-taker of Blasters.
