As the day nears for the Ram Mandir Inauguration, the organising committee of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has been sending out invitations with even more zeal. Former India women captain Mithali Raj became the latest cricketer to receive the prestigious invitation for the Pran Pratishtha Mangal Vidhi in Ayodhya, which will take place on January 22.
Raj, a veteran of 333 internationals, took to the social media platform 'X' and accepted the invitation for the highly-anticipated ceremony, which the cricketer's mother accepted on behalf of the former.
The former stalwart shared a picture, captioned,"Blessed to have received the invitation to the Pran Pratishtha Mangal Vidhi in Ayodhya. My mother accepted it on my behalf."
Apart from Mithali, Indian cricket legends like Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, and Ravichandran Ashwin have also been invited to the Pran Pratishtha Ceremony. India's ace archer Deepika Kumari has also been sent out an invitation for the star-studded event.
The ceremony is likely to include over 11,000 guests, which include attendees from both India and overseas, apart from drawing lakhs of devotees. All invitees will be handed a ‘Ramraj’ and Prasad as a token gift.
The who-is-who of India's business, political, sporting, and entertainment sectors will be seen flying down to Ayodhya on January 22, which includes Mukesh Ambani, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amitabh Bachchan, and Gautam Adani.
The temple will be open for public viewing on January 23.
