Karnataka Cricketer Hoysala K Dies Due To Cardiac Arrest After Playing A Cricket Match

In an unfortunate turn of events, the Karnataka cricketer Hoysala K took his last breath after he passed away on 22 February, Thursday after he played the last cricket match of his life. 

The unexpected incident unfolded on the field after the game of the Aegis South Zone tournament which was being conducted in Bangalore. The sudden demise of the young cricketer has left the whole Cricket fraternity in shock.

The tragic incident occurred During the match between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu at the RSI cricket ground in Bangalore. Karnataka won the match and as believed the cricketer was moving to the dining hall to celebrate the victory with his teammates.

As per the witnesses, the 34-year-old was about to join the team for dinner and was walking towards the pavilion, but he unexpectedly collapsed on the field with severe chest pain. Seeing the urgency of the issue the medical staff of the team immediately ran towards the player in an attempt to revive and save the cricketer by giving him CPR.

As Hoysala K failed to respond to the treatment provided by the attentive medical staff of the stadium and the team, he was rushed to the Bowring Hospital in Bangalore by ambulance. The family members of the cricketer were immediately informed and they promptly ran towards the hospital.

However, it was too late for the cricketer to reach the hospital as he succumbed to cardiac arrest and was already found dead by the doctor after thorough examinations. Dr Manoj Kumar, the Dean of Bowring Hospital and the Atal Bihari Medical College revealed that the cricketer was brought in the hospital dead, and the authorities are awaiting the report of post-mortem.

"Hoysala was brought in dead, mostly due to a heart attack. We have completed the postmortem and are awaiting the report," said Dr. Manoj Kumar.


Hoysala K: A vital asset for Karnataka and Shivamogga Lions

Hoysala K was renowned for his Cricket skills, and had given some phenomenal performances in the past for the Carnatic domestic team in Ranji trophy in the U-25 category.

Notably, Hoysala was also a key squad member of the Shivamogga Lions team franchise in the Karnataka Premier League as the young bowler constantly delivered the desired results for the team.
