T20 World Cup: Dwaine Pretorius ruled out of South African squad

A major update from the South African camp has come up ahead of the 1st ODI against India. All-rounder Dwaine Pretorius has been ruled out of the three-match ODI series against India. He has also been ruled out of the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup due to a fracture on his left thumb. It is a major blow to the African team ahead of the high profile tournament in Australia.

Massive setback for SA

Pretorius is a key all-rounder in the South African squad. He has been phenomenal leading up to the T20 World Cup. The news developed after Pretorius injured himself during a practice session before South Africa’s ODI series against India. In the last match against India in the T20I series Pretorius picked up 3/26 and has been performing consistently.

The Protean was sold in the newly inaugurated CSA league SA20 for a whopping R4.1 million to the Durban Super Giants.
