In a significant development, prominent Pakistan players Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, Fakhar Zaman and Haris Rauf have received a 'No Objection Certificate' from the Pakistan Cricket Board to feature in the Bangladesh Premier League. The four players with ample experience in the shortest format could be valuable assets for their respective franchises in the lucrative league.

Currently, the aforementioned cricketers are involved in a five-match away T20I series against New Zealand. While Babar and Shaheen have passed the Kiwi challenge with flying colours, Zaman and Rauf have blown hot and cold in the series.

The likes of Naseem Shah, Ihsanullah, Mohammad Hasnain and Shadab Khan had also applied for NOCs to feature in the cash-rich BPL and ILT20.

However, when the board issued the NOCs, these players weren't included among those approved for the BPL. As per the request of Pakistan's Director of Cricket, Mohammad Hafeez, the board has asked the quartet to feature in the President Trophy.

These four players are coming off injuries, which ruled them out of action for a considerable period. While Naseem and Shadab have recovered from a shoulder and an ankle injury, Ihsanullah and Hasnain have also regained match fitness.

Regarding the Bangladesh Premier League, the competition has already kicked off, with Comilla Victorians and Durdanto Dhaka taking on each other in the opening game.
