In a significant development, experienced speedster Tymal Mills has pulled out of the Big Bash League 2022-23 due to a family emergency.

Perth Scorchers informed about Mills' unavailability through their official Twitter handle. A replacement for Mills will be announced soon.

Here's what the tweet read

"Tymal Mills will not be available for the KFC Big Bash League season ahead due to a family emergency. We're sending our love and best wishes to him and his family during this time."

Mills has vast experience in the shortest format, having played in T20 leagues around the world. So, his absence could be a big blow to the Scorchers, who are already missing Mitchell Marsh, Laurie Evans and Philip Salt due to several reasons.

However, even with Mills not in the team, the Scorchers' bowling department looks formidable with the presence of Jhye Richardson, Jason Behrendorff, Andrew Tye, Lance Morris, Ashton Agar and Peter Hatzoglou.

Therefore, the onus will be on the likes of Faf du Plessis, Ashton Turner, Richardson and Behrendorff to guide them to glory this season.
