The monstrous batter Andre Russell slammed six sixes in as many deliveries against the bowlers like Jon-Russ Jaggesar and Dominic Drakes. He achieved this miraculous record in Match 9 of the 6ixty Men's competition for Trinbago Knight Riders against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots.

In his blistering knock of 72 off 24 balls, Russell hit five fours and eight sixes to help Knight Riders to post a total of 155 in 10 overs.

In this pursuit, the 34-year-old became the first batter in the tournament’s history to hit six successive sixes.

Interestingly, Knight Riders needed eight sixes to qualify for the Semi-Final of the tournament. The explosive batter has alone hit more sixes than the required number of sixes for the team.

In the 6ixty, if two teams are equal on points, the key differentiator between them would be the number of sixes hit by the respective team.

If talked about his recent form, Russell featured for Manchester Originals in the Men’s Hundred Competition and slammed 148 runs in six innings at a prolific strike rate of 168.18.

The CPL 2022, which is set to commence on 31st August will witness him playing for the Knight Riders. Until the last season, Russell was a key player for the Jamaica Tallawahs.
