Karachi Kings will go head-to-head with Lahore Qalandars in the Match 26 of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024 Saturday, March 9, at the National Stadium in Karachi. Riding a roller coaster of form, Karachi Kings find themselves in a tight spot, languishing near the bottom of the PSL 2024 points table.

With just three victories against five defeats from their eight outings, their campaign so far has been a mixed bag of hits and misses. Their recent encounter ended in a disheartening defeat against Islamabad United, a match where their total of 150 proved to be a sitting duck. As they gear up to square off against Lahore Qalandars, all eyes are on Karachi Kings' playing XI.

Despite a turbulent tournament, captain Shan Masood is expected to keep his spot at the helm, opening the innings alongside Tim Seifert, who has shown sparks of brilliance amidst the gloom. The No. 3 spot, currently occupied by James Vince following a lukewarm 29 off 27 balls in their last game, might see a new face with Leus Du Plooy potentially stepping in, aiming to inject some much-needed momentum into the lineup.

The middle order appears to be set in stone with stalwarts Shoaib Malik, Kieron Pollard, Mohammad Nawaz, and Irfan Khan expected to retain their places. Their performances have been the silver lining, showing flashes of good performances with both bat and ball at crucial moments.

However, the bowling lineup, spearheaded by Hasan Ali, Mir Hamza, Zahid Mahmood, and Blessing Muzarabani, could see a tweak. Despite Muzarabani's great form, the team might consider roping in Daniel Sams to add more depth.

Sams' ability to swing the new ball and hammer quick runs lower down the order could be the ace up Karachi Kings' sleeve, potentially bolstering their batting firepower which has so far been underwhelming.
