Defending champions, England have announced their provisional squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024.

Interestingly, they have made some bold calls, one of them was to include Jofra Archer back in the team. The pacer bowlers' career has been marred by injuries, and he'll be looking for some redemption.

The England side have made sure that the core of the team remains the same from the 2022 T20 World Cup, with Buttler once again set to lead the side. Arguably one of the most power-packed batting lineup, the onus will be on the top-6 to steer the side to victory in this multi-nation tournament.

Key players for England

Talking about England's top-6, they'll be boosted by the return of Harry Brook, who has done well in recent past. In the last T20I series against West Indies, he performed exceptionally well and will be eager to prove his worth in the upcoming tournament.

Adil Rashid, the leggie was England's star performer in the semis and finals of the T20 World Cup 2022. With the conditions in West Indies helping the spinners, Rashid will be the X-factor for the defending champions.

However, the biggest trump card for Buttler and his troops would be Will Jacks. The RCB star has piled on runs across different T20 leagues and recently smacked a century in IPL 2024. He can also chip in with a couple of overs, which will be quite useful on those surfaces.
