The Rajasthan Royals will play against the Rajasthan Royals in the 44th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024). This match will be played at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on April 27th at 7:30 PM IST.

The Royals have been on a roll in IPL 2024. They are playing brilliant cricket, and all their departments are doing great. The result of their supreme display is that they are currently at the top of the points table. Sanjus Samson and his unit will be eager to win this game and be the first team to qualify for the playoffs. They will try to keep their momentum going and keep themselves within the top two in the points table to get the advantage in the playoffs.

The wicket at the Ekana looked good for batting in the first match of IPL 2024. The pacers also enjoyed the surface, as the ball skidded off it, putting the batters in trouble. But from the second match, the Ekana wicket unveiled its slowish and sluggish nature, bringing the spinners into the game. Defending a target seems the better option here and the home team is brilliant in doing that successfully.

Three match-winners for Rajasthan Royals

Yashasvi Jaiswal

The young Indian opener has struggled for form from the beginning of IPL 2024. However, in the last game against the Mumbai Indians, Yashasvi Jaiswal played a brilliant knock of 104 runs off 60 deliveries and regained his lost touch. Jaiswal has also done a great job against the Super Giants. In three matches, he has scored 109 runs at a strike rate of 143.4. Even in the reverse fixture Jaiswal started well and was going at a strike rate of 200 before he fell prey trying being over-aggressive. The form that he will carry into this game and is numbers against the Super Giants make Yashasvi a potential match-winner for the Royals.

Sanju Samson

The RR skipper has led his team from the front. Samson batted with a great temperament at number three and provided solidity to the RR batting order. In eight innings, he has scored 318 runs at an average of 64.50 and a strike rate of 152.42. Sanju’s record against the Super Giants is also brilliant. He has scored 129 runs against them in four innings at a strike rate of 140.20. Given the way Samson is going in this tournament and his record against LSG, he could be the biggest match-winner for his team.

Trent Boult

The Kiwi pacer has been in decent form with the ball in the tournament. Trent Boult has picked up nine wickets in the tournament in eight games. He bowled a brilliant match-winning spell against the Mumbai Indians but, after that, has not delivered anything remarkable. Boult’s numbers against the Super Giants suggest that we might witness another brilliant spell from him. Against LSG, Boult has picked up seven wickets in four matches while having an economy of just 6.19. He will take confidence from these numbers and try to play an impactful role for his team.
