PSL 2024 finals are to be played on Monday between Islamabad United and Multan Sultans, and ahead of the big-stake matchup, Shadab Khan will be tasked to formulate the best suitable and balanced playing eleven to outclass the mighty force of Multan Sultans.

Islamabad United snatched an inspiring victory from the jaws of defeat in PSL's Eliminator 2 against Peshawar Zalmi.

From 90/5, Imad Wasim and Haider Ali stitched up a match winning partnership of 98 runs to get Islamabad United through to the final of PSL 2024 season. 

A dejected Babar Azam stood in disbelief as the Zalmi bowling unit let the matchup slip despite having managed to get the upper hand in the first half.

That being said, Islamabad's captain Shadab Khan has a daunting task up his sleeves as he gears up to face the mighty Multan Sultans in the finals of the tournament. 

Notably, the United's opening pair has struggled all throughout the year, and Alex Hales' early wicket in Eliminator 2 triggered the top-order collapse in the first place.

While Colin Munro regained form just before the knockout stages, a hamstring injury got him sidelined. 

Therefore, for the eve of the finals, Shadab Khan has to alter the opening combination and drop Hales. Jordan Cox can come in for Hales as an opener or a no.3 batter given Agha Salman pairs up with Martin Guptill. 

Alternatively, Islamabad United could use a pinch hitter at the top to maximize the powerplay condition.

Notably, Multan Sultans' bowling attack has been seamless this PSL season and to neutralize their threat, Islamabad must jet off to a good start with the bat.
